YANBOX GO

The device is either asleep or out of battery.  

After taking the device out of the box, press the ✖ button to wake it up.  

Once activated, you don’t need to switch YANBOX GO on manually – it will start automatically when vehicle movement is detected.  

Download the YANBOX GO app and create an account. Begin the activation process by tapping the “+” icon and follow the on‑screen instructions.

Install YANBOX GO in a place where you will have easy access to it.  

Avoid locations where airbags are installed.  

Yes. Press and hold the X button until the LED bar turns red and slowly slides down. To restart the device, simply press the X button again.  

YANBOX GO has a built-in lithium-polymer battery that must be charged using the USB-C cable included in the set. The maximum charging current is 500 mA.  

No. Each account in the app can be linked to only one device.  

The device must be added to the YANBOX GO app and remain connected while driving.  

The YANBOX GO app is available free of charge in Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iOS). Simply search for “YANBOX GO” in the store of your choice.  

Make sure you are using the latest version of Android or iOS that meets the app’s requirements in Google Play or the App Store.  

Make sure both YANBOX GO and Bluetooth on your phone are switched on. Open the app, select “Add device”, and then choose “Connect to YANBOX GO”. When pairing is complete, the LED light bar will blink green.   

For everything to function properly, during the first launch of the app you must: allow “Always” access to location, enable Bluetooth, and permit the app to run in the background.  

For Android devices, disable battery optimisation/power saving for the app. We recommend selecting the option “No restrictions”.  

The app may also request additional permissions required for correct operation. These may vary depending on the operating system and its version.  

Yes. The app must be running in the background for the device to receive and send road alerts.  

The app will start automatically, except in cases where battery‑saving mode has been enabled or another technical issue occurs.   

If the device is not connected, indicated by the LED bar blinking blue, launch the YANBOX GO app. If the device still doesn’t work, we recommend restarting your phone.  

If the issue persists:  

1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in your phone’s settings,  
2. Verify that the app has all required permissions – reopen it and see if it displays a message requesting permissions (such as continuous location access or access to nearby devices) and grant them,  
3. Confirm again that the app has all necessary permissions,  
4. Reinstall the app,  
5. Contact technical support by sending a report directly from within the YANBOX GO app.  

YANBOX GO alerts you to events on the route using both sound and light signals. When you approach a location with a selected event, YANBOX GO emits a short sound – a different tone for each category: police checks, speed cameras, or hazards.  

You also receive a visual notification on the LED bar between the ✔ and ✖ buttons:  

• blue – police check,  
• orange – speed camera or average-speed check,  
• red – hazard (accident, roadworks) or other dangers.  

During an alert, the LED bar and the ✔ and ✖ buttons remain steadily lit.  

The LED bar also shows the remaining distance to the end of an average-speed check.  

The timing of the alert depends on your vehicle’s speed: the higher the speed, the earlier the warning is issued by YANBOX GO.  

You can track the distance to the event using the LED bar between the buttons. As you approach the point, the bar will gradually fill with light.  

Once you are close enough, you will hear a distinctive sound.  

During an average-speed check, the LED bar will gradually fill as you approach the end of the measured section.  

Use the left button ✔ on YANBOX GO to report any event on the road (speed camera, police patrol, or hazard). Our AI-based algorithm will automatically recognise the type of your report.  

Use the right button ✖ on YANBOX GO to cancel a reported road event.  

Proper operation is indicated by a blinking green LED bar.  

Additionally, the correct connection status is shown in the app as “Connected”.     

It indicates that the device is properly connected via the app and has detected motion.  

Each colour has a different meaning:  

• blue (steady light, no blinking): the device has not been added to the app (default state after unpacking),  
• blue (blinking once every 5 seconds): the device is not connected to the app,  
• yellow (blinking once every 5 seconds): the device is low on battery,  
• red (blinking once every 5 seconds): an error occurred while retrieving data from the system via the app (e.g. no data transmission).  

Like all electronic devices, YANBOX GO is exposed to the effects of very high and very low temperatures.    

The operating and storage temperature range of YANBOX GO is -20°C to 55°C.  

Important! The device must not be charged at temperatures below 0°C, as this may damage the built-in battery.  

YANBOX GO comes with a 2-year warranty.  

YANBOX GO is a road-alert assistant that helps drivers stay safe. Although it is not a radar detector, it provides information about fixed speed cameras on the route.  

For this reason, its use is not permitted in some EU countries due to local regulations.  

Before travelling, check the traffic laws and restrictions for your destination in the EU.
